Iraq’s parliament calls for expulsion of US troops

In response to the death of Qassem Soleimani, Iraqi lawmakers Sunday approved a five-point plan for ending the US presence in Iran and legislation for the cancellation of Baghdad’s request for assistance four years ago to help fight ISIS. According to the plan, the government was required to ban the use of Iraqi air space by any foreign power. he bill is subject to Iraqi government approval and a year’s advance notice to Washington. It was backed by most Shiite members of parliament, who hold a majority of seats. Many Sunni and Kurdish legislators did not show up
