Iron Dome intercepts rockets aimed east and south of Jerusalem
A rocket salvo from Gaza Tuesday night reached Jerusalem's outskirts and Gush Etzion on the West Bank. Sirens blared in Bet Shemesh, Kibbutz Maale Hahamisha, the Jerusalem suburbs of Eitanim, Ora and Aminadav, and Mt. Gilo and Gush Etzion to the south. At least two were intercepted by Iron Dome over Bet Shemesh and and one exploded on open ground in Gush Etzion near Hebron.
Gaza is dark Tuesday night after heavy Israeli bombardments of Hamas government centers hit the fuel tanks supplying the territory’s only power station. Only two of the ten Israeli lines are functioning.
