ISIS and Al Qaeda call for attacks on Macy’s Thanksgiving parade

Security in New York was boosted after both the Islamic State and al-Qaeda urged attacks on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday. The FBI warned police departments across the US of an increased threat of attacks during the holidays and around the presidential inauguration in January. ISIS advised its followers to perpetrate a “Nice-style” attack on Macy’s parade, copying the heavy truck that mowed down crowds in Nice, France on July 14, killing 86 people. They suggested that terrorists use drones containing improvised explosive devices. Last year 3.5 million people attended the parade.  The NYPD has placed blocker cars at every intersection of the route
