Military aircraft destroyed at S. Syrian air base

A number of Syrian military aircraft were blown up in an air bombardment on Monday at the al-Khalkhalah air base in southern Syria. DEBKAfile’s military sources report that heavy fighting has been raging for some days between the Syrian army and the Islamic State.
