ISIS claims stabbings of Russian policemen in Dagestan

Two men with knives stabbed to death a Russian policeman in Dagestan in Russia's North Caucasus region Monday evening. A second policeman was wounded. Other police officers shot the two attackers dead. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack. Two knives and other items with the ISIS log were found in their belongings.

The stabbing was the second ISIS terrorist attack in Russia in 10 days. The first was an axe attack in which seven people were wounded in the Siberian city of Surgut on August 19.
