ISIS “emir” in western Iran liquidated, says Tehran
Sources close to the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced n Tehran that special operations forces operating in the western town of Kermanshah had broken up an ISIS terrorist cell. Among the dead was the self-styled “Iranian Emir of ISIS.” The sources did not name him, but local sources in Kermanshah identified him by his nickname of Abu Ayesheh. DEBKAfile’s counterterrorism experts note that this was Tehran’s first admission that ISIS had any presence at all in Iran.
