ISIS forces massing in central and northern Syria

ISIS forces are reported by Western military sources to be massing heavily in central and northern Syria, especially south of Aleppo, where they are preparing an offensive to retake the Kuweiris military air base, which the Islamic State army captured before and from which it was driven out by Syrian troops. A second ISIS build-up is taking place at al-Sukhna, east of Palmyra in Homs Province.
