ISIS overruns Syrian army command posts in Deir Ez-Zour

ISIS followed up on the offensive it launched Saturday in the eastern Syrian Deir Ez-Zour province and town and, by Monday, had overrun the Syrian military command center in the town and beaten the Syrian army back from two districts, Bagheliya and Tallat al-Broul. Both sides sustained heavy casualties in the battle. The ISIS advance was not slowed by heavy Syrian air strikes.
