ISIS planning large-scale attack in UK, MI5 head warns
Andrew Parker, director-general of Britain's MI5 intelligence service, warned Wednesday that British jihadists are planning to carry out a major attack in the UK, saying that the treat was the most serious in his entire 32-year career. While delivering an annual defense and security lecture in London, he added that "More than 750 extremists from this country have travelled to Syria, and the growth in the threat shows no sign of abating."
