ISIS plants mines and bombs at ancient Palmyra ruins

Syrian opposition sources in London report that the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria Saturday began planting mines and bombs among the ancient ruins of the historic city of Palmyra, which the group captured three weeks ago. It was not clear whether the jihadis plan to destroy the Roman theater and other historic remains, or acted to deter government forces from advancing toward the city.
