ISIS security head killed by Iraqi commandos – Iraqi defense chief

Iraq's Defense Minister Khaled al-Ubaidi said Sunday that Iraqi special forces troops had killed Ahmed Majeed, head of security for Islamic State, in a raid on a house in the city of Hit in the central part of the country. The minister said the unit came from the 29th Division.
DEBKAfile military sources: The 29th Division of the Iraqi military is an infantry division based in the western part of the country. There has yet to be any confirmation of the news from any other source.
