Israel and Turkey restore diplomatic ties

Veteran diplomat Irit Lillian is to present her letter of credentials as Israel ambassador to Turkish President Recep Erdogan on Tuesday after a nearly five-year break in diplomatic ties between Ankara and Jerusalem. Turkey’s ambassador will present his accreditation to President Yitzhak Herzog in 10 days.
