Israel behind blast at Iran’s Natanz enrichment center – report

The New York Times cites a Mid-East intelligence official as saying that Israel was able to plant a powerful explosive in a Natanz enrichment center warehouse where researchers were working in building advanced centrifuges. A member of the Revolutionary Guards confirmed that the explosion was caused by a bomb. Israel has declined to confirm any hand in the explosion. Another Iranian official admitted that it had caused “significant damage” and could “slow down the development and production of advanced centrifuges” for speeding up uranium enrichment for nuclear fuel. Defense Minister Benny Gantz asserted Sunday night that “not everything happening in Iran had to do with Israel.”
