Israel bolsters its Golan border against new Hizballah presence

The IDF military spokesman Wednesday for the first time confirmed DEBKAfile reports of a Hizballah military buildup on the Syrian Golan, disclosing that the Shiite group is gathering intelligence on Israel’s deployment. He said that since Hassan Nasrallah threatened to turn the Golan into a new front against Israel, “more [Israeli] companies have been sent up, and more tanks.”
