Israel broke up 10 recent terrorist plots in Sinai

Israel’s Military Intelligence chief Maj. Gen. Aviv Cochavi: Using intelligence tools, we have thwarted 10 terrorist plots from Egyptian Sinai in recent months. It was the first time Israel had admitted officially to conducting counter-terror activities across the border in Sinai. In his briefing to a Knesset panel Tuesday, the intelligence chief did not say whether Israel was working in conjunction with the Egyptian authorities. He added that MI continues to keep track of terrorists who, he warned, are set for more rocket and shooting attacks as well as incursions into Israel.
