Israel captures Hizballah terror cell planning suicide bombings
The Israel Police and the Shin Bet internal security service announced Wednesday that they had captured a five-member terror cell established by Hizballah that was planning to carry out suicide bombings in Israel. The cell was set up by the son of Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah who used social networks to recruit the five, all residents of Tulkarem born between 1985 and 1990. The members of the cell were instructed via the internet in the preparation of suicide vests and other explosive devices, recruitment of suicide bombers and collection of intelligence on military sites and civilian infrastructure. They also received funds from overseas via bank account transfers to fund their terror operations, and had obtained an automatic rifle that they planned to use for an attack on IDF soldiers.
