Israel closes its skies against UK covid variant carriers

In the fight to keep the new covid variant at bay, the government ruled on Monday that no foreign nationals will be admitted to Israel for the next two weeks, except in special cases, and Israelis returning after Wednesday will go into mandatory isolation for at least 10 days at special hotels. If they beat the clock, they may be isolated at home. Starting Sunday, travelers returning from the United Kingdom, South Africa and Denmark were taken by bus straight from the airport to isolation hotels.
