Israel frees two convicted Syrians – part of prisoner swap deal with Russia

Two Syrians prisoners are being released by Israel as the last installment of a deal with Russia which saw Syria’s return to Israel of the body of the IDF soldier Zachary Baumel last year. Sidqi Al-Maqt, 53, and Amal Abu Salah, 26, residents of the Druze Golan village of Majdal Shams, were serving long sentences for various grave charges, including espionage, terrorism, murder, supporting a terrorist organization and other security offenses. It was Al Maqt second jail sentence. He was released in 2012 after serving 27 years for terrorism.
PM Binyamin Netanyahu approved the release of the two Syrians ahead of the visit to Israel later this month of President Vladimir Putin, who personally arranged the prisoner swap with the Assad regime.

      Agreed.

Two terrorists who will invariably go on to commit more acts of violence against more Israelis, are not worth a dead body.

This appeasement has got to end.

Thats the problem with Bibi –
he cant walk a straight line…
its him who walked backwards to the wall all these years when instead he should have faced the iranian nazi-mullahs and sent them to their virgins…

Israel’s Culture of Life is Deeply Rooted in Respecting Other People’s Existence with Jehovah being the Creator of Life & Choosing the Time of Life Ends. There are Exceptions for Self-Defense but seeking Solutions to Preserve. Continue & Resolve Disputes is still Paramount in hopes others will Change their own Hate within and bringing Home the Remains of a Son or Daughter of Abraham as well to Honored & Rest in Peace. It is hard to believe and judge but that is part of the essence of Israel Culture Respecting Existence as well.
