Israel freezes money transfers to Palestinians

A senior Israeli official told Haaretz Saturday night that Israel Friday froze money transfers of half a billion shekels (roughly $150m) to Ramallah, the day after the Palestinians applied for membership of the International Court in order to file war crimes charges against the Jewish state. The official stressed that Israel would not let the Palestinians get away with their unilateral step. “Israel observes the rule of law and investigates itself in cases of wrongdoing. That is easily proven. We won’t just defend ourselves in the international arena, but go on the offensive – and our ammunition is not negligible, ” he said. The PA responded that the suspension of transfers was yet another Israeli "war crime."
