Israel imposes closure on West Bank and Gaza Strip for Yom Kippur

The IDF on Tuesday, the eve of Yom Kippur, locked down Palestinian areas of Judea and Samaria as well as the Gaza Strip as Israel and world Jewry mark the most hallowed day of fast and prayer on the Jewish calendar. Security forces and first aid services are on high alert. For the first time since the Six Day War of 1967, roadblocks were installed between East and West Jerusalem and Palestinians barred from entering western neighborhoods.
From Friday afternoon until Saturday night all businesses and public places of entertainment are closed and the roads clear of all traffic, including cars as well as public bus and rail transport.

I read the article and it was written by a Muslim reporter. The President would never use the words “wipe off the face of the earth” or anything similar. This is an expression that Muslims use so the “reporter” just makes up his own interpretation of whatever he reads or hears. He uses quotation marks as if Trump actually said those words.
This is not a report worthy of attention.

Is not collective punishment a war crime? Since these area area’s under military occupation they are subject to the Geneva Convention. Or does Israel believe that it is above such trivial considerations as International Law and Treaties?
