Israel lifts siege on Idna after failing to find shooter who killed Israeli

The Israeli military Monday lifted the siege on the Palestinian village of Idna, maintained since a 40-year old Israeli man was killed and two others injured, including his 28-year old pregnant wife, in a shooting on the Hebron road on Passover Eve. The forces using special forensic equipment to identify the shooter or shooters drew a blank and concluded that the wanted men must have gone into hiding in one of the caves riddling the mountain village. Some of those caves have been prepared as hideouts for escaping terrorists with interconnecting tunnels and natural water springs. Intelligence or a tip-off is now the only chance of apprehending the killers.
