Israel opens international airport for free exit and 3,000 arrivals per day

In the face of Health Ministry warnings, the ministers on Tuesday approved the reopening of Ben Gurion airport on Sunday for free overseas travel by Israelis after they have received two vaccination shots, and the ingress of 3,000 Israeli arrivals per day. This decision meanwhile covers only flights to and from the US, Germany, Paris and Kyev.

As a means of monitoring the new arrivals’ adherence to quarantine rules, police will follow their whereabouts by means of text messages from their cellphones. Others will be fitted at the airport with electronic bracelets attached to their phones.
