Israel asks for Russian help on a ”humanitarian matter related to Syria”

The military censor blacked out news references to the top-secret cabinet videoconference called urgently by PM Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, excepting only the following

“Israel has asked Russia for assistance on a humanitarian issue related to Syria. This has been the subject of recent conversations between Israeli and Russian officials, including the prime minister with President Vladimir Putin, Defense ministers Benny Gantz and Sergey Shoygu  and FM Gaby Asjkenazi with counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

The ministers were ordered to observe tight secrecy and gather at two points for a videoconference instead of the standard session by “Zoom.”
