Israel-UAE accord to be signed at White House on Sept. 15

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed will attend the formal signing of the US-brokered normalization accord between the two countries at a White House ceremony next Tuesday, Sept. 15. They will lead their delegations for the event. Netanyahu confirmed he had accepted an invitation to the White House to participate in the ceremony. “I am proud to be heading to Washington next week, at the invitation of President Trump, and to be taking part in an historic event,” he said. The event is expected to signal the onset of regular commercial flights between the Jewish state and the Gulf Emirates.
