Israeli Air Force Chief warns against a sudden war with Syria
Maj. Gen. Amir Eshel said Wednesday that if Israel were to be caught up in a sudden war with Syria, it would have only days to resolve it. At a lecture in Herzliya, the air force chief said: “This is a war we can win, but only with massive firepower.” However carefully we protect the civilian population, our home front cannot escape harm, he said. The general reported that Russian S-300 anti-air missiles were on their way to Syria.
