Israeli air strikes in Gaza after new Palestinian rocket fire
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon ordered the IDF to go after terror targets in the Gaza Strip Tuesday afternoon, minutes after three rockets from Gaza struck near Beersheba and Netivot. The air force is already in action. This was the first Palestinian rocket fire in six days of ceasefire. No casualties are reported. Hamas yet again violated a ceasefire, this one announced for 24 hours in Cairo Monday night, to “complete negotiations” between Israel and Hamas mediated by Egypt for a durable truce. Israeli forces were standing ready for Hamas violations.
