Israeli ambassador Dermer meets Trump transition team

Israeli ambassador Ron Dermer called Donald Trump and Mike Pence true friends of Israel, after meeting the president-elect's transition team in Trump Tower in New York Thursday. In a statement issued in the lobby, Dermer added that Pence was one of Israel’s greatest friends in Congress and one of the most pro-Israel governors in the country, and “we look forward to working the Trump administration, with all its members, including Steve Bannon, and making the US-Israel alliance stronger than ever.” The Israeli embassy in Washington declined to confirm or deny that the envoy met the president elect.
