Israeli and Saudi officials confirm Netanyahu-Crown Prince talks

Both Israeli and Saudi officials Monday confirmed Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Sultan at the western Saudi town of Neom on Sunday night. It was also attended by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in a show of unity – especially on Iran – before presumptive president-elect Joe Biden takes office in January.

Saudi FM Faisal bin Farhan denied the meeting took place. But a senior Saudi source told the WSJ that the meeting of several hours covered Iran and other topics including the potential for Riyadh to follow the UAE and Bahrain in normalizing relations with Israel. But no substantive action was agreed.
