Israeli Arab gets 3.5 years jail for ferrying large sums to Hamas
After a plea bargain, the Jerusalem District Court on Monday sentenced Dara’am Jabarin, an Israeli Arab from Umm al-Fahm, to three and-a-half years jail for moving foreign funds to Hamas for paying terrorists through Turkey. On four trips to Turkey, he collected sums ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 euros per trip, a total of 300,000 euros up until his arrest in January 2018. A search of his home found 91,000 euros destined for Hamas cells in Judea and Samaria.
