Israeli Arab supreme body calls general strike for Wednesday
The Supreme Monitoring Commission of the Israeli Arab community has called for a general strike on Wednesday. Shops and schools will be closed. Three protest demonstrations will also take place in support of the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.

If they would be on strike on Shabat, it would be a bigger problem, as there would be less Shabat-Goyim.
