Israeli Arabs from Jerusalem arrested on suspicion of planning terror attacks

It was revealed on Friday that a group of Israeli Arabs have been arrested by Israel’s security forces on suspicion of membership in a terror cell that was planning attacks in Jerusalem. The cell, which was set up while its members were in prison for rioting, planned to attack an IDF base next to Hebrew University on Mt. Scopus. Some of the members even carried out surveillance of the base and looked into ways of carrying out the attack after being released from prison. The cell consisted of residents of the neighborhoods of Tsur Baher and Sheikh Jarrah in East Jerusalem, including members of Hamas. The Israel Police and investigators from the Shin Bet domestic security agency uncovered the plot.
