Israeli defense minister calls conviction of Azaria a ‘severe ruling’

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Wednesday afternoon that the conviction of IDF Sgt. Elor Azaria of manslaughter over the shooting death of a subdued terrorist was a "severe ruling". Commenting immediately after the military court's verdict was announced, he said he did not like the ruling but that it should be accepted and respected.
