Israeli emergency cabinet meeting on Palestinian rioting

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu announced that an emergency meeting will be held on Tuesday evening, immediately after the end of the Jewish New Year holiday, to discuss measures against Palestinian rioters.
The announcement came amid a sharp rise in incidents in the Jerusalem area, including rioting on the Temple Mount and an incident overnight in which Palestinians stoned an Israeli vehicle, causing a crash in which Alexander Levlovitch, 63, was killed and two others were injured.

The participants in the meeting will include Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan, Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz, interim Police Commissioner Bentzi Sao and senior officials from the IDF and the defense establishment.
