Israeli fighter jets strike Hamas targets after two rockets fired from Gaza

The IDF reported that in reprisal for two rockets fired Friday night from Gaza at the Shear Hanegev district, Israel Air Force fighter jets bombed Hamas terrorist targets including rocket workshops. The Palestinian rockets exploded harmlessly in an open area. Siren alerts sent people running for shelter. Hamas blamed the Iran-backed Palestinian Islamic Jihad for the first rocket attack from Gaza since late May. Earlier Hamas spokesmen said that Israel’s plan to annex part of the West Bank was “a declaration of war.”
