Israeli fire kills one Palestinian in a stone-throwing mob

In an incident on Thursday afternoon, an Israeli motorist opened fire on a mob of Palestinians when they stoned his vehicle in the area of Hawara, near Nablus. He hit two of the rock-throwers and one of them, a young man, was killed. The motorist, a resident of the Israeli community of Itamar, was detained by the Israeli security forces. He said while being questioned that he felt his life was in danger so he fired into the air. The Palestinians had been attacking Israeli vehicles passing through the area when the incident occurred.
