Israeli forces demolish 10 illegal buildings in southeast Jerusalem

Hundreds of police and soldiers on Monday secured the demolition site of several multistory buildings in the Wadi al-Hummus district of Sur Baher in southeastern Jerusalem. Ten buildings were listed for demolition, some still under construction despite a series of court rulings. In a final appeal, the Israeli Supreme Court ruled against Arab petitioners, confirming that the area is barred for construction because of its proximity to the security barrier. The 17 residents of three completed buildings were given 30 days to evacuate. The Palestinian Authority condemned Israel for destroying the buildings and threatened to petition the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

There is definitely more than 10 illegal buildings in that area. Demolish them all.

Thats what is different about Israel – despite everything you will read in most international media – Israel is not destroying them because they are illegal. Israel is destroying them due to the security concerns because they are built too close to the border wall.
