Israeli forces foiled terrorist attack on eve of Passover

The Israel Police revealed Thursday that border policemen on duty at the Kalandia checkpoint north of Jerusalem on Monday arrested a Palestinian who was found to be carrying a concealed knife and a concussion grenade that he planned to use for a stabbing attack in Israel. Later, while being questioned, the 20-year-old resident of the Kalandia refugee camp provided investigators with the identity of another Palestinian who planned the attack with him. The second Palestinian changed his mind at the last minute and later turned himself in to the authorities.
