Israeli leaders’ condolences on Margaret Thatcher’s death

Britain’s first female prime minister (from 1979 to 1990), the former Conservative leader Baroness Margaret Thatcher died of a stroke aged 87 Monday. In their messages of condolence Israel’s President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu hailed her as a great and inspirational leader and also a staunch friend of Israel and the Jewish people.
