Israeli rabbi stabbed to death by Palestinian terrorist

A Palestinian from Nablus stabbed the Haredi rabbi Shay Ohayon, 39 and father of four, on Wednesday in Petah Tikva, a town northeast of Tel Aviv. Mage David paramedics found the rabbi unconscious on the sidewalk and, after first aid treatment, evacuated him to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police apprehended the terrorist, who was legally employed in Israel after security clearance, and handed him over to the Shin Bet for the interrogation. An eyewitness reported that the terrorist had stabbed the victim five or six times with a large knife. Palestinian Authority officials said the killer had a background of mental illness.
