Israeli military opens criminal probes of Gaza civilian deaths
The Chief Military Prosecutor Dani Efroni has set up two special teams for criminal investigations into two incidents of IDF misconduct during the Gaza War, which led to Palestinian civilian deaths by Israeli fire. They are the Israeli warship’s shelling of the Gaza beach on July 17, which killed four children, and the strike on the UNWRA center in northern Gaza on July 24 in which 24 Palestinian civilians were killed. Five cases against the IDF are under investigation
