Israeli Navy’s elite ‘Shayetet 13’ unit gets new commander

A new commander took charge of the Israeli Navy's "Shayetet 13" elite commando unit on Wednesday. The officer, a colonel only identified by his first name "Tal", assumed the post in a ceremony at the Atlit base that was attended by the commander of the Navy, Maj. Gen. Eli Sharvit. The unit's outgoing commander, Col. Gur Shreivman, is to take charge of the IDF's officer school after leading Shayetet 13 for the last three years.
