Israeli opposition leader lays into prime minister at Munich

In a speech he delivered at the Munich Security conference Saturday, Yitzhak Herzog, leader of the opposition Zionist Camp party, strongly urged Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to call off his forthcoming speech on the Iranian peril to the joint house of Congress on March 3. This was an unusual crossing of the normally accepted lines in Israeli politics not to attack the government’s policies in foreign forums.
