Israeli police alerted to threatened cyber attack
Police computers were urgently disconnected Thursday from civilian networks upon being warned of an imminent cyber attack on their system, possibly by the insertion of a tainted disk loaded with a virus in one of their computers. At 10.30 a.m., national police headquarter issued an order prohibiting the uploading of any electronic material on police computers. The entire police computer system was disconnected until further notice. Police officers were ordered not to use their laptops to reduce exposure to hackers.
