Israeli Police clash with rioters at Al-Aqsa Mosque

After receiving a tip on plans to attack Jews visiting Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, Israel Police forces entered the area early Sunday morning and detained rioters who had barricaded themselves in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The police action came on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year holiday.
The rioters inside the mosque threw rocks and shot firecrackers at the police. After breaking through the improvised barricades and entering the mosque, the police found suspected pipe bombs that were removed by bomb disposal experts.
