Israeli police officer injured in Palestinian stabbing attack

A Palestinian Saturday stabbed a police officer, aged 37, in his upper torso near Lions Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. Although his injuries were moderately serious, the officer pulled his gun and shot the terrorist dead, before being evacuated to hospital. A second officer was slightly injured.
