Israeli policeman injured as Palestinian car runs roadblock

A Palestinian vehicle hit an Israeli policeman manning a roadblock in the West Bank on Wednesday. Police spotted the car and ordered it to stop as it approached the roadblock at the “British Police” junction near Ofra. The driver slowed down but then suddenly sped up again as he got close to the policemen and hit one of them, injuring the policeman lightly. The driver drove away but stopped his vehicle after several hundred meters, got out and ran off in the direction of a nearby village, where he was captured in the afternoon.
