Israeli policewoman Hadar Cohen, 19, dies in shootout with terrorists
Hadar Cohen, 19, from Or Yehuda, died in hospital of wounds she sustained in a shootout with three Palestinian terrorists armed with automatic rifles, ammo, knives and bombs. They attacked her Border Guard unit Wednesday at Damascus Gate, Jerusalem. The trio reached Jerusalem from Kabatia, near Jenin. Two were listed by the Shin Bet as barred from entering Israel. When asked for IDs, they began shooting and slashing the border guards with knives. Hadar fought back and was mortally injured. The unit managed to kill all three terrorists. The Jerusalem police spokesman said that this unit thwarted a multiple casualty terrorist attack in Jerusalem. Her commander cited Hadar Cohen, just two years in the service, for bravery.
