Israeli soldier faces manslaughter charge for shooting suspected terrorist

A soldier from the IDF Kfir Brigade was questioned by the military police after he shot dead a Palestinian who ran full tilt at the IDF “Pillbox” position at Silwad west of Ramallah Sunday. The Palestinian kept going although the soldiers warned him to halt. He turned ou, according to Palestinian officials, to have been unarmed and a mental case, who held dual Palestinian-US citizenship. The soldier under investigation could face a charge of manslaughter.
