Israelis who recovered from coronavirus get vaccinated
Three months after their recovery, Israelis over 16 who suffered coronavirus attacks may receive a vaccination shot, the Health Ministry announced. The health funds will administer single jabs instead of the double shots given to non-sufferers.
Coronavirus Director Nahum Ash has warned that the new rate of covid infection among children under 9 is a cause for concern. Some other figures are encouraging: The ministry recorded 3,400 new cases on Monday, 737 seriously ill in hospital with 241 on respirators, but deaths rose to 5,750 since the pandemic began a year ago. Altogether 5,760 million people have received their first vaccination shots and 3,400 million their second.
