Israel’s active coronavirus cases drop to 2,343

The Ministry of Health reported on Sunday the number of dead from the coronavirus was unchanged at 279, as were the serious cases at 47 and patients on ventilators at 36. More than 14,000 have recovered out of a total of 16,712 confirmed with the disease since the outbreak in February. The Gaza Strip had its first covid-19 death – a woman of 77 with underlying ailments who was hospitalized at the Rafah crossing upon arrival from Egypt. The Gazan authorities report a total of 55 cases.
